UMA degree students can register for spring courses on MaineStreet starting Monday, 11/7. Check here for detailed information about registration dates across the UMS campuses. Stop by the UCBB table at the 5th Annual Business & Community Expo (formerly the Go Green Expo) on Saturday, 11/5 from 10 am to 4 pm at Mt. Ararat High School Gym. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking at this family-friendly event. CHANS will provide free flu shots, MPBN will provide Grow-A-Tree kits for the first 200 people to arrive, there will be computer and electronics recycling by Best Buy, a children’s area, resume screening, a food court and much more!

Attend the Preparing for a Human Services Career Information session on Monday, 11/7 from 3 to 4 pm. Grace Leonard, UMA, Academic coordinator for Mental Health and Human Services will share information and answer questions. Peaceworks, based in Brunswick, has once again generously provided a $500 PeaceWorks Peace Studies scholarship toward a 3-credit hour University of Maine Peace Studies course. The award is available for the spring 2012 semester and the application deadline is 11/30.
