Pack up the kids…

…and checkout the 5th Annual Business & Community Expo (formerly the Go Green Expo) on Saturday, 11/5 from 10 am to 4 pm at Mt. Ararat High School Gym. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking at this family-friendly event. CHANS will provide free flu shots, MPBN will provide Grow-A-Tree kits for the first 200 people to arrive, there will be computer and electronics recycling by Best Buy, a children’s area, resume screening, a food court and much more! Don’t forget to stop by the UCBB booth!

Build your resume doing good

Volunteer as an IRS-certified Tax Preparer or Asset Coach. Midcoast Maine CA$H Coalition provides free IRS-certified training, you get a marketable skill and the priceless satisfaction of helping your neighbors who earn a low to moderate income. Attend the Preparing for a Human Services Career Information session on Monday, 11/7 from 3 to 4 pm. Peaceworks, based in Brunswick, has once again generously provided a $500 PeaceWorks Peace Studies scholarship toward a 3-credit hour University of Maine Peace Studies course. The award is available for the spring 2012 semester and the application deadline is 11/30.

If you need to schedule a proctored exam as a make-up or for an online class please check the make-up exam times and call our Business Office at 442-7736 to schedule the exam. Please note: Students taking exams at non-standard times will be asked to present photo identification to the proctor at the time of the exam.
