Improve your productivity!

Unleash the power of your UMS Google account. Attend the UMS Google Apps Workshop with Andy Shatto on 10/18, 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Participants will improve productivity through Google mail, calendar and docs. Email [log in to unmask] to sign-up.

Meet-up

Please join our newly elected Student Association Officer team at their first business meeting of the semester, Wednesday 10/19, in Room 120 at 11:30 am. Please email Lisa Whitney if you are planning to attend. This student group is responsible for helping students connect with each other, planning events and activities, and deciding how to spend student activity fees.

Collaborate with colleagues

Rooms 105 and 120 have been newly outfitted for student collaborative work and can be self-scheduled online with UMS email account. Both rooms are ideal for study groups and have computers equipped with Skype (use the Skype account for the room or your own Skype account) so that students can connect and share resources with others.

Create Your Future!

The Maine Centers for Woman, Work and Community is offering an 8-session Creating Your Future: Career Planning for the new economy course starting on 10/24 at University college. The course meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 am to noon and is free of charge. FMI and to register please contact Shelley Taylor.

Catch the Learning Express

On Wednesday, 10/26, Patten Free Library (PFL) will host an introductory presentation on Learning Express, a new on-line teaching and information resource available to all Maine citizens.  The presentation is free, open to the public, and will begin at 6:00 pm at the PFL. Learning Express is a powerful tool which provides quick, easy access to professional test prep tools, software tutorials, job search resourses and many other online informational resources.

Serve!

Explore opportunites to serve our community at the Volunteer Opportunity Fair, Thursday, 10/27, 2-7 pm, Curtis Memorial Library, Brunswick. The event features more than 40 nonprofits (environment, youth, hunger prevention, health, literacy, arts, animal welfare, elders, education & more!), refreshments, online volunteer matching, & door prizes. Arrange an alternate exam time

If you need to schedule a proctored exam as a make-up or for an online class please check the make-up exam times and call our Business Office at 442-7736 to schedule the exam. Please note: Students taking exams at non-standard times will be asked to present photo identification to the proctor at the time of the exam.
