everyone,
We have been made
aware of a problem with the recent lidar lot 2 delivery in coastal island areas,
especially near Mt Desert Island and adjacent islands. The vendor used
inadequate control which causes the elevations to be much further off than the
18cm accuracy standard.
The vendor has
agreed, quite quickly, to "make it right" and is already working to collect more
ground control in that area and reprocess the data.
So this email is to
just inform those of you who have copies of the lidar lot 2 data to be aware of
these issues, use the data with caution, and also that I will announce on this
listserv when a redelivery is available.
