Sorry to miss this meeting again. I just got this today and I have appointments that can't be moved without 24 hour notice. If there are notes that would be great.

Hi all,

Just a reminder there is a tech integrator meeting tomorrow, 10-27 at Mt. Ararat Middle School. We will meet in the library conference room. After entering the lobby, climb one flight of stair, at the landing turn left and climb a small set of stairs, head down the hallway, the library is on the left. The conference room is in the back of the library.

Agenda:

Continuation of discussion at ACTEM about Tech Integrator jobs , their importance, commonalities between our jobs, differences between our jobs. Purpose for discussion is to provide information to administration if they need help defending or advocating for our positions.

Reschedule our schedule of meetings so they are not all Thursday's: Lisa will come with a proposal

Letter to depot regarding summer repairs: Lisa and others

Demonstration of E-ducate software : Dan

Start planning for Tech Connect : all

A cool tool for teaching: Lisa

See you tomorrow!

Yours,
Lisa

I definitely want to be included in tomorrow's (10/27) 4 pm meeting. Any
chance that there might be a Tandberg or Polycom there? I finally got a
Tandberg 1000 connected and working from home ([log in to unmask]). I
could set up a Tandberg session on the bridge at UMaine if that might help.
I can also Skype in to someone's computer, simply follow notes and chat in a
shared Google document, or check out posted notes and respond. Let me know
what is easiest for all of you.

Here is a link to the set of questions that I pulled together during the
session. <http://bit.ly/actem11notes> The questions are mostly based on
discussions during our Technology Integrator Roundtable at the 2011
MainEducation Conference. I also believe that Laura Girr took some notes
that can also be shared.

I would also like to announce a Bangor Area Technology Integrator regional
meeting to take place at Hampden Academy on Tuesday November 14 from 4 -
5:30 pm. Everyone who deals with technology integration (including tech
coordinators) throughout the state is welcome to attend. We will set up a
Tandberg session to make it possible for more people to attend. Shortly
after tomorrow's Southern Maine meeting, I will send out a reminder and
agenda asking for people to let me know if they will be able to attend.

These sessions are extremely valuable to those attending and serve as a
place to share good integration/PD efforts, and assist with solving problems
and removing roadblocks. We all need a support group.

Keep up the great work all!

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

No Tandberg or Ploycom yet in MSAD75 but you should definitely Skype in.
Also, I will set up a Chatsy chat room to go along with the Skype discussion and all participants can join and chat.

I will post the Chatzy url and my Skype information. later today.

Yours,

I definitely want to be included in tomorrow's (10/27) 4 pm meeting. Any chance that there might be a Tandberg or Polycom there? I finally got a Tandberg 1000 connected and working from home ( [log in to unmask] ). I could set up a Tandberg session on the bridge at UMaine if that might help. I can also Skype in to someone's computer, simply follow notes and chat in a shared Google document, or check out posted notes and respond. Let me know what is easiest for all of you.

Here is a link to the set of questions that I pulled together during the session. The questions are mostly based on discussions during our Technology Integrator Roundtable at the 2011 MainEducation Conference. I also believe that Laura Girr took some notes that can also be shared.

I would also like to announce a Bangor Area Technology Integrator regional meeting to take place at Hampden Academy on Tuesday November 14 from 4 - 5:30 pm. Everyone who deals with technology integration (including tech coordinators) throughout the state is welcome to attend. We will set up a Tandberg session to make it possible for more people to attend. Shortly after tomorrow's Southern Maine meeting, I will send out a reminder and agenda asking for people to let me know if they will be able to attend.

These sessions are extremely valuable to those attending and serve as a place to share good integration/PD efforts, and assist with solving problems and removing roadblocks. We all need a support group.

Keep up the great work all!

Shawn

Yours,
Lisa

HI all,
I am looking for your opinion about the best, least costly tool (software
and stylus) to use for writing by hand on the macbooks and ipads.

I am especially interested in using it for writing math problems but other
uses too.

I know there are other ways to get this task accomplished (document camera,
smart board) but I'd like to solidify this option for a couple of teachers
who are interested.

thanks for any input!

Laura

We have had luck with the Wacom Bamboo tablets. They can be passed around the room to different students and it is just like using a pen and paper.

Hi all

I think I have found a way to use Skype for a conference call that will hold up to 25 people for those who can not make it in person to our meeting 10-27 at 4:00 pm at Mt. Ararat Middle School.

I would like to set the call up ahead of time. To do so I need your skype info. I will add you to my contacts, set up a group. Then if you each have Skype running at 4 pm I will call you.
Please email me your skype contact info and I will add you to my contacts throughout the day tomorrow.

The Chatsy chat room to go along with the conversation can be found at: http://us3.chatzy.com/95916430001262

The password in is vocab ( don't ask why..it's too long to explain!)

Looking forward to connecting with many of you who can not make it in person!

Yours,
Lisa

Shawn

session on the bridge at UMaine if that might help. I can also Skype =
in to someone's computer, simply follow notes and chat in a shared Google d=
I would also like to announce a Bangor Area Technology Integrator regio=
nal meeting to take place at Hampden Academy on Tuesday November 14 from 4 =
- 5:30 pm. Everyone who deals with technology integration (including =
tech coordinators) throughout the state is welcome to attend. We will=

bsp; Shortly after tomorrow's Southern Maine meeting, I will send out a rem=
These sessions are extremely valuable to those attending and serve as a=
