Honor Labor
The center will be closed on Monday 9/5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Build community
The Midcoast Center for Higher education Student Association (SA) plays a vital role in building and strengthening the connection to an engaging learning community for all students. The SA members also have an enormous amount of fun and make important decisions about spending your student activity fees. Lend your voice, head, and heart to this effort by running for a SA leadership role. Becoming a Student Association officer provides an opportunity to make a difference, to be a member of a team, and to strengthen your leadership skills. Nominations are due on 9/8. Please contact Lisa Whitney FMI.
Express yourself…
…at the ballot box (well, actually inside BlackBoard)! Election of 2011-2012 SA officers will take place between 9/12 and 9/16. To vote, starting on the 12th, login to BlackBoard and select “Student Association Elections-Bath Brunswick” and click on the ballot.
Connect, create, collaborate
Checkout the new look and feel of Room 105. Outfitted with new paint, artwork, furniture and technology, this space has been redesigned as a workspace for student groups to study and collaborate. Room 105 and Room 120 also have computers equipped with Skype (use the Skype account for the room or your own Skype account) so that students can connect and share resources with others. Stay tuned for an online reservation system for both spaces, for now, email [log in to unmask], to reserve either space.
Pledge your service
The start of the new semester is also a moment to consider your commitments to community service. Join the 9/11 tribute movement by pledging your community service at 911day.org. This is an effort to honor the victims, survivors and responders through renewing our service to our local communities.
