This is a note that is both impersonal and personal. I’d rather ask in person, but I guess the topic is important enough that Email is the only way to get it done. This is a different situation for me, my family, and for thousands of people world wide. Just a year ago my wife Susan was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lew Gehrig’s Disease. Those of you who I have spoken with recently know our family situation. Those of you who do not know Sue well or are curious what this is about might want to visit a page you can get to via Google : “walk for als team sueboo maine ” Or directly at: http://web.alsa.org/site/TR/Walks/NorthernNewEnglandWalk?team_id=191003&pg=team&fr_id=7425 The gist is we are trying to raise over $15,000 to suppport ALS research by getting sponsors for team members doing a Sept. 10 walk in Portland . In typical fashion Sue has pitched in even though she knows this will only help others down the road. If you want to donate it would be great. This can be done securely at the site .. maybe go through my page so the rest of the team does not think I totally dropped the ball! Sueboo, as she is known to her extended family has been great throughout this and all our extended family will be grateful for whatever you do.
