Effective July 1, 2011, federal financial aid regulations are changing
related to satisfactory academic progress (SAP) which allows you to
continue to receive financial aid. The new policy discontinues the
probationary period and any student who is found to be out of compliance
will have their future financial aid suspended or not awarded. The
financial aid office will contact students via your college email and a
written correspondence will also be sent to students who are out of
federal compliance. If you are affected because your SAP has dropped
below an acceptable level, you will have 14 days from notification to
appeal this decision if you feel you have extenuating circumstances that
impacted your ability to meet SAP. Pay attention to all e-mails, message
center notifications, and letters sent to you. Take responsibility to be
informed.

It is important for you to review this policy on your college financial
aid website. If you have questions regarding the policy, please contact
the Financial Aid Office.
