The Maine GIS Users Group  is having its Annual Meeting on June 24, 2011 at Sunday River in Bethel.  They have given MEGUG members a reduced room rate of $102.00 for this conference – but only if you book a room by Tuesday, May 24th.  Please download the registration form on our website to receive the reduced rate.  We also plan to have a social gathering on Thursday and will send more information when the details have been finalized.

 

The annual business meeting will include the election of four At-Large MEGUG Board Members.  The following people have graciously submitted their names for consideration.  

Patrick Cunningham – President, Blue Marble Geographics

Kerry Leichtman – Assessor, Town of Rockport

Ken Murchison – GIS Specialist, Northern Maine Development Commission

Michael Smith – Manager, Maine Office of GIS

Megan Tylka – Geospatial Database Manager, City of Auburn

Steve Weed – Assessor, Town of Bar Harbor

Their statement of experience and interest will be included on the ballot you will receive  with your conference registration.  Registration information and the updated agenda can be found on the MEGUG website.  www.megug.org

Also, please mark your calendars for the fall MEGUG meeting which will be held at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on September 23rd.
