Some of you may already be aware of the two recent court decisions, the
first against Hancock County, the second against six other counties from
the
news papers. Simpson's law suits against the counties has spurred
legislation and numerous individual bills. Yesterday was the public
hearing for two of them; LD 1499 and 1550. Attached you will find my
prepared remarks, should you be interested. If the attachment is missing,

Now, today is the time for you to contact the members of the Joint
Standing Committee on State and Local Government (listed in the
attachment) AND your respective State Senator and State
Representative if you wish your voice to have an impact on the
Committee's task in determining the future of deeds online. Their work
session will be tomorrow.
Please consider forwarding this message to colleagues that share an

Thank you very much.
