As
this has been a common question, I'll reply to the whole
list.
With
the new data catalog, yes we retained the ability to download certain large
layers by subsections - such as towns or watersheds. If you see a 'tiles'
icon (look in the legend at the top), that will take you to another page which
has downloads by town or county or watershed or USGS quad, depending on the
dataset. For example with counties, you can either get the entire
statewide shapefile (and yes it is big at 600MB) or you can click on the 'tiles'
icon and get the same data tiled out by USGS quad. E911 Roads we offer
also as a single staetwide shapefile, or tiled out by town.

I believe you use to be able to download layers by town or county.
That doesn’t appear to be an option with the data catalog website. I don’t
want the whole state---especially with some of the larger files such as contours
which is about 600mb zipped. Is there a way to do partial downloads?
Thanks. Wayne
