Subject: FWS GIS services

Hi Michael,
The Fish and Wildlife Service has posted some GIS services and data that might be of interest to GIS users in Maine.

Public users may connect to FWS public ArcGIS server.  The services available include Bird Conservation Regions (BCR's; http://www.acjv.org/bird_conservation_regions.htm), Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCC's;), Regional Boundaries, simplified Refuge boundaries and Joint Venture (JV's) outlines.

In ArcMap or ArcCatalog - you can add this service from ArcCatalog:
http://gis.fws.gov/arcgis/services

To access the services:
http://gis.fws.gov/arcgis/rest/services

Connect to these services using ArcCatalog/GIS Servers/Add ArcGIS Server
and copying each link.

We also have these linked on our main data page that provides direct links and metadata:
http://www.fws.gov/GIS/data/national/index.htm

Thanks,
Bob
