it started out with my daughter observing that her hubby had never been to a hockey game, and me calling the USAFA ticket office to see how many tickeds i'd need for them and their three kids. the next event was a meeting in denver, never a totally pleasant experinence, especially the drive, but today was special. A dear friend responded to my earlier voice mail saying that there would be 5 tickets in my name at will call. needed to get lunch, and after having folks at the meeting suggest all sorts of eclectic healthy things, it came to me that there was a little place near 15th and curtis called sam's #3 that is anything but eclectic and anything but healthy. it was, however, the sight of at least three breakfasts when the frozen four was in denver. Even took a pic of myself at the curtis hotel where we stayed. to the airport to garner a cousin and then back home. air force hockey - great game with air force scoring in the last minute and a half to win. even better was seeing my daughter (kids in tow) run into one of her highschool friends (also kids in tow), but the tops were the long time booster club members reacting to how my daughter had changed in the past 20 years. the cap to a marvelous day was the finding over 30 e-mail and facebook birthday greetings. Thank you all for helping the hockey related portion of my life be so enjoyable.
