Register for spring 2011 courses!

Registration for UMA degree students opens on MaineStreet at 6 am, on Monday, 11/8. Registration dates vary by campus. Checkout the updated spring 2011 course information including the delayed viewing policies for ITV courses. Please call our Business Office (442-7736) to schedule an advising appointment with Dennis Unger or Lisa Whitney or contact your faculty advisor.

Go Green!

Attend the Go Green Expo, Saturday, 11/6, from 10 am to 4 pm at Mt. Ararat High School, Topsham. This no-cost, family-friendly, fun, and educational event is sponsored by the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber.

Honoring all who served

On Veterans Day, 11/11, no University courses are scheduled. The Business Office is closed. We are co-hosting a day-long Early Childhood Education conference with Family Focus, RSU 1, and SMCC. The computer lab and the auxiliary lab will not be available. University students will have access to the wireless network and the computers in Rooms 101, 102, and 103 from 9 am to 4 pm.

Learn about the UMA Honors Program

Dr. Jon Schlenker, Director of the UMA Honors Program, will hold an information session via videoconferencing on Monday, 11/15, from noon to 1 pm. He will discuss the perks and challenges of the Honors Program and answer curriculum questions.

Balance

Stephanie Burns, Student Support Specialist with the generous support of the Student Association, has organized a week of wellness activities and displays. Chair massage, flu shoots, blood pressure checks, smoking cessation information, and a number of special treats and surprises are in store the week of 11/15. Make Peace

The application for the $500 PeaceWorks Peace Studies scholarship toward a 3-credit hour University of Maine Peace Studies course in spring 2011 is available. The application deadline is 11/30, 2010.
