Think spring!

Make Peace

The application for the $500 PeaceWorks Peace Studies scholarship toward a 3-credit hour University of Maine Peace Studies course in spring 2011 is available. The application deadline is 11/30, 2010.

Prepare for a Nursing Career

On Monday, 11/1, from 1 to 2:30 pm, Nancy Cooley, UMA Academic Coordinator for Nursing, and Brenda Webster, USM Coordinator of Nursing Student Services, will discuss options for entering the nursing profession. On Tuesday, 11/2, at 5 pm, lutenist, Tim Burris will perform a free concert and lecture entitled The Lute in History at University College at Bath/Brunswick. Check out this sample of Tim Burris’ music! This performance is free and open to the public.

Women, Work & Community is offering a free 5-session Career Planning workshop Wednesdays, 11/3 through 12/1 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at University College in Bath. This workshop is designed to help you review your skills and interests, identify career options, and develop a plan for next steps.
