UMA’s Convocation – Friday, October 1st

On Friday, October 1st, UMA will celebrate a “calling together” to honor the new academic year. This year’s Convocation theme is Communications in the 21st Century. The event is 2:30 – 4:00PM in the Jewett Hall Auditorium. This year’s student speaker is Rockland’s Mary Lynch! Good luck, Mary!

Student Association Renews Farnsworth Passes

The Rockland Student Association recognizes the value of student access to the Farnsworth Art Museum. Student passes may be checked out at the URock front desk for a 24 hour period. Passes allow you entrance to all galleries and exhibits at the museum.

To Be, Or Not To Be

In December the Strand Theater in Rockland will host another live broadcast from the National Theater of London. This year’s performance is Hamlet on Thursday, December 9, at 2:00 or 7:00PM. Some Rockland faculty will be requiring attendance at one of the shows while others will be “urging”. If you wish to attend the show but you are not connected with a University class that will attend, please let the URock front desk know so we can get you a ticket.

Governor’s Forum at URock on October 5

On Tuesday, October 5, URock will participate in a University of Maine System Forum with the gubernatorial candidates via videoconference. Click here for the details.
