Order Books by the 20th for URock Delivery the 26th Please check the UMA bookstore for ways to purchase your textbooks. You may drive to the campus bookstore, order by phone or online. You may also choose to have your books delivered to URock for just $2 but act now!
URock Will Launch Its New Web Site This Week On August 19th we will launch our new web site. The address will be the same at www.learn.maine.edu/rockland but we will have a brand new look, including many photos of local students and places. Let us know what you think about the navigation and ease of use!
Double Check Your Financial Aid It is important that the credit hours you register for agree with what you told financial aid you would take! If you decide to increase or decrease your credit hours, make sure to go into Maine Street and change the numbers under the financial aid/student enrollment hyperlink. Otherwise, your aid may not move over to your student account. If you need help, ask a URock staffer.
Beware of Some Used Books! If your textbook comes with a software package (like MyMathLab or MyCompLab) then you should buy the text new. These software packages are NOT transferrable and you'll end up buying the software separately which can be costly.
Welcome Back Barbeque! On Friday, September 17 at 5:30PM, the URock Student Association will host a "Welcome Back Barbeque" under a tent in the parking lot! Enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, chips, ice cream sundaes and live music. Mark your calendar now!
Logon for Printing Students and faculty must now logon on with their ID's and passwords when sending a printing job to a URock printer. Everyone still prints FREE thanks to the generous support of the URock Student Association. However, the university installed this feature on URock computers as an analysis tool. Please print responsibly.
Semester Opens August 30th Are you ready? Are you checking your Maine Street account, email and Blackboard for updates?
Orientation programs this fall will be held at URock on Wed. Aug 25 at 10AM and on Thurs Aug 26 at 5PM. New students are encouraged to enroll for one of these dates through the front office. We'll cover: ID and library cards; tricks of student technologies; and, understanding your learning style.
