Get Elected!

Student Association (SA) elections are being held the week of 9/13. Please consider throwing your hat into the ring to run for a leadership position in this organization. Lisa Whitney, SA advisor, invites you to contact her to talk about how to put your skills and talents to work. Please get involved in helping to strengthen community among local students. Meet Stephanie Burns

Stephanie Burns is our new Student Support Specialist. She is available to assist students in settling into the UCBB learning environment. Stephanie is available to answer questions, identify resources and provide support. Stephanie received a B.S. in Library Information Technology from UMA in 2004. She is currently in the process of completing her Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Learning at USM. Stephanie lives in Topsham with her husband, Bill, her daughter Marti, two cats, four snakes, and a large lizard. She is very involved with Topsham Public Library where she just finished serving as the President of its Board of Trustees. Education has been a prominent focus of her life for the past two decades. Join Andy Shatto, Computer Tutor, for a Google Apps workshop on Monday, 9/27, 5 to 6 pm or 6:15 to 7:15 pm. Learn how to use your UMS Google account and improve your productivity and ability to share resources through Google mail, calendar and docs. The fall tutoring schedule is online. Tutors are available in math, writing, computing and biology. We encourage you to connect early in the semester with one (or more) of our skilled and user-friendly tutors!
