Tickets to the Maya Angelou event at the Augusta Civic Center on April 26th at 7:00PM are now available for pick-up at URock.  Each UMA student gets one free ticket.  Even if you did not order your free ticket through email or by phone, you may claim one at the URock front desk. 

 

Non-student tickets are available for $25 by calling UMA at 877-UMA-1234. Also, please check the URock bulletin board in the student lounge for car pooling information. 

 

Maya Angelou is a poet, writer, singer, dancer, producer, civil rights activist, and more. She has written five books of poetry, six autobiographies, and three books of essays. She has written and produced for TV and film and has appeared in a number of films and TV shows. She has worked with Martin Luther King, Jr and Malcolm X as well as Bill and Hillary Clinton and has been friends with a number of influential writers, artists, performers, and political figures. We urge you to take advantage of this great opportunity!
