Greetings,

The Maine Geolibrary has formed a subcommittee to develop an aerial photography/orthoimagery program that leverages federal, state, local and private funding to provide high resolution orthoimagery statewide.  We hope to establish a program that will provide this valuable data resource at lower cost, at a higher resolution and on a regular basis.  The Geolibrary has recruited a  knowledgeable committee to explore options (see below).

Right now the committee is gathering information on past practices and future needs, and we need your input.  If you are able to help, please provide feedback on the following questions to

Thank you for helping.  Your input will ensure a successful orthoimagery program for Maine

1 - Have you collected aerial photography and/or developed orthoimagery, or know of an entity that has, over the past 10 -12 years?  If so, what is the name of the organization?  Please provide any details you may have (e.g., cost, geographic extent etc.)  We are already familiar with the statewide 2003-2005 program and more recent acquisitions in York and Cumberland Counties so you do not need to provide information on these.

2 - Do you plan, or know of anyone who is planning aerial photography and/or orthoimagery in the next year or so?  Please provide contact information or any details you may have for these projects.

3 - What requirements do you or your clients have for aerial photography or orthoimagery (e.g.,resolution, horizontal accuracy etc.)
