Hi folks,
MEGUG is working with several special interest groups to plan a meeting
of Maine utilities in January. We hope to get a variety utilities types to participate including
communications, cable TV, water, sewer, gas and electric. The date has not been picked yet, but the meeting
will most likely be held in the Bangor area.
A round table-type session to allow
utilities to share and discuss topics common to utilities has been suggested.
Topics might also include planning, requests for data, road databases,
Dig-Safe, GIS platforms, applications specific to utilities, mobile GIS use of
public data, routing, network analysis, system restoration, land
base and data collection.
If this
area of discussion interests you, please consider volunteering to make a
presentation or suggesting ideas for topics. Send the information to Aimee
Dubois at [log in to unmask] by November 13, 2009..
Best regards,
Dan Walters, Chair
Maine GIS Users Group
