We should probably have a little
demonstration for people on how the web mapping service works. I would guess
others besides planning might like to use it occasionally.

The
Maine Office of GIS and the GeoLibrary Board provide imagery web mapping
services (WMS) for public consumption. This is a great way to get imagery
into your map without having to keep copies of the imagery at your site.

We
have recently added six-inch color orthophotos (dated April 11 2006) for
Hampden to the collection.
