The *Spring JBS meeting*, entitled Challenging groups in the flora of Maine, is scheduled for Sat., 28 March 2009, 9am -3pm, in Chase Hall, Bates College, Lewiston.The goal of this meeting is to review some of the most taxonomically challenging groups in Maine, including Sphagnum (presented by Dick Andrus), Fungi (Seanna Annis), Lichens (Steve Selva), Crataegus (Arthur Haines), and Amelanchier (Chris Campbell). The pre-registration cost for this meeting is $15 and should be sent to Rick Speer (check payable to JBS, mailed to 566 N. Auburn Road, Auburn, ME 04210) by March 20.
