I have to preface this by saying that I'm not the best one to do this, because I don't see the details of the game the way most of the people posting to this list do. But, the game was good, so here goes. I thought Maine played a terrific game for 2 periods - with the let-down coming in the 2nd. I've been at all the home games - none of the away - so I don't know how it compares to BC and MMass, but enjoyed the pace and intensity that Maine played with. I thought it was the best game I'd seen at the Alfond this year, even though we lost. After Greg Moore scored in the 2nd, we let down some, and I for one was happy to see the zamboni. The 3rd period was one of the best periods of hockey I've seen in a long, long time. We dominated the puck - had lots of scoring chances, and unfortunatly weren't able to put one in the net, but it wasn't for lack of chances. Curry did a great job in net for BU. Chris Hahn looked really strong, I thought, and impressive considering it was his first game. He looked like a veteran out there - not a first year player. >From: james acheson <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Maine Hockey Discussion List <[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: the BU game >Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 15:22:04 -0800 > > >so can I get the low down from people who were at the game? > > > >I was at the Merrimack game, and I was really impressed with 2 things, >Bishop's ability to stop men on break aways, and Maine's willingness to >crash the net.
