We will be re-booting named.unet.maine.edu to put a new kernel into production. It should be down for only a few minutes. This machine is where NM runs and is the master DNS, DHCP and LDAP server and handles roaming and self regstration. We will be swapping NameO.unet.maine.edu from the temporary machine to its normal hardware. This machine is one of the primary DNS, DHCP, LDAP and Radius servers. There are multiple redundant servers providing these services so the impact should be minimal. This process should take about 15 minutes. -- Irelann Kerry Anderson phone: (207)581-3508 Systems Group internet [log in to unmask] University of Maine Network - UNET University of Maine System
