Agrostis stolonifera is a bentgrass that commonly occurs on the edge of
saline-influenced habitats. The basally decumbent stems, long ligules,
and relatively short, congested inflorescence (relatively Agrostis
gigantea) identify this plant. Let me know if images would help and I
can send you one.

Subject: Agrostis in salt marshes

Does anyone know which Agrostis is most likely to be found in salt
marshes, or in the brackish edge, in mid-coast Maine. Is it A.
stolonifera? Thanks, Lauren Stockwell
