My daughter who now goes to Maine calls it UMaine which is think is the currently accepted name by students at least. I still go by UMO as I did when I was there many moons ago. Although a friend who also went there calls it U M Zero, (in a loving sort of way.)

I don't think "Maine" is a problem... It still just irks me a bit when it's "UMO."  In fact, I believe "Maine" may be preferred...

Then again, I'm a recent grad, who wasn't there during the "UMO" era (of course, the REAL UMO era ended about 12 years before most people thought it did...).
