Dear List

In a letter to Ezra Pound dated July 30,1949 Marianne Moore writes, "Despite what you had said, I did not see till now how absolutely the subject, object, predicate principle applies, The pernicious relative clause has done me a world of harm. I can get the straight order of words and try for active verbs and forego 'hard bestead,' and 'ceaseless' etc."

Does anyone have an idea where Pound wrote Moore concerning word order?
