Well, I sat in front of the TV Saturday night with "league
loyalty" in mind but I just couldn't pull for UNH. As disappointed as I was
last year I found myself in the mode expressed here on Friday: "pull for
the team that's playing BU first and the team that's playing UNH second.
Besides the Gophers were clearly the better team from the get-go. I agree
that it didn't help UNH that they fell apart but it was pretty unlikely that
they could beat the Gophers anyway. And the fact that UNH fell apart is
not an embarrassment to Hockey East. If they had played their best game and
lost 5-1, then that might have been an embarrassment to the league but their
falling apart is only an embarrassment to themselves and their fans.

why is that an embarrasment to HE?
isnt this just what UNH did last year after the fell behind by a goal?
they fell apart completely and let some team (I forget who) score 5 more and
Umile, the excelleny playoff coach, let his team fall apart then too. (Oh
and this was after that team's All American defenseman spotted UNH a goal in
the opening minutes of the game by making a tape to tape pass/assist.

The only thing I can say to this is, 5-1 is an embarrassment to HOCKEY EAST,
not you rooting for Minnesota.

Thankful that we get to cheer, "We've got 2 how 'bout you?" to the Mildcats
again next year:)
