>Hats off to the gophers who win for the second consecutive year by a 5-1 >score over the pussycats. Sigh. UNH has themselves in quite a mental state. I'm convinced they would have lost to Cornell, if Cornell's early goal had not been waived off. The body language of the UNH players and fans just said "here we go again". With the goal being waived off, they were given new life, made a couple of great shots, and won. I thought a similar thing happened against the Gophers, albeit in the 3rd period when the score went to 3-1. My son and I were amazed as with 8, 5 and 3 minutes left in the game, dozens, if not hundreds, of UNH fans left the arena! Some of the players lost all intensity, and by the time Umile used his timeout, all was lost. "Hats off to the Gophers" for me, too. They played a great game. Thomas Vanek was the clear star of the tournament, but many gophers had an outstanding tournament. Weber, the MN goalie, didn't appear to be of the highest skill, but played superbly and had terrific play in front of him. cheers, wayne
