John Sabo, BU's third-leading scorer, is scheduled to be arraigned today in
Brighton District Court on charges of assault and battery, assault and
battery with a dangerous weapon (a shod foot), and making threats against a
fellow student at BU. The charges stem from an incident that happened
outside a Brighton bar last September. The incident report said that the
alleged victim, Christopher Boccuzzi, said he was assaulted by Sabo and six
to eight others, including several other hockey players. Boccuzzi's family
says he has undergone two surgical procedures, one lasting 8½ hours.

Sabo apparently plans to file a cross-complaint at the arraignment, charging
Boccuzzi with assault.

One commentator on the USCHO message board who says he has a good
relationship with Sabo says he has an anger management problem.
