This should be an open discussion
including talking about coaching decisions, even Shawn's. And how is it
tarnishing Shawn's memory to talk about his very excellent coaching style and
decision making?
Adults should be able to disagree and have
differing opinions including thinking that Maine is not perfect. There is
no reason to get upset with someone just because they have a different opinion
on something.
It's too bad that you had to defend
yourself for having your opinion. It's much better to just have to
defend the opinion itself.
Come on people, let's try to be respectful
of everyone on the list so that more people will be comfortable
and will contribute.
The "Shawn" reference was merely to illustrate
the play in the defensive zone can not be tolerated. It is the reason they
nearly lost to Lowell and Merrimack, and did loose to BC and UNH. I thought
this discussion list was just that; a forum in which fans could voice thier
opinions during the course of the season. If one's comments are going to be
slammed because they aren't touchy-feely enough, one has to wonder about the
purpose of the list in the first place. There have been comments about
"lurkers" on the list that never post thier opinions. This is why. The focus
of my post was disreguarded and the symantics attacted. What about the rest of
it? As far as tarnishing Shawns memory, watch it; them's fight'in
words.
