Michael and Charles

Michael: I said I regretted being sucked, not suckered, into an email
argument. I said I was not good at email arguments. I meant argument in
its non-emotive form; to establish intellectual positions by reason. Your
misunderstanding of my statements is evidence of my inadequacy not yours.

Charles: You seem to imply that Pound's economic ideas never received a
trail. I would posit that many of the ideas of "Social Credit" are
reflected in today's U S monetary systems as managed by the Federal Reserve
System and the U S Internal Revenue system. The ideas being used today even
include income credits. However, Pound and Douglas would still have huge
problems with the usury of today's consumer credit and the enormous
national and international political clout of the banks. BTW: Isn't the
Federal Reserve in actuality a private bank chartered by the U S Treasury
Department. If so this would pose further theoretical problems for Pound
and Douglas.

As to Gramsci. I am poorly educated and have never encountered him. I am
going to Albuquerque (UNM library) today and will read about him and if I
have time of him.
