it didn't breakdown, it worked exactly as it's constructed to work.  of
course it's a conspiracy, conspiracy is the bedrock of a political system
designed to make certain that only *qualified* stooges are elected.  of
course, it one chooses to ignore the fact that the election swung on disputed
votes in a state governed by the winning candidate's brother, etc., then no,
one doesn't need to be bothered with conspiracy theories.  but just for the
record, the crime of conspiracy is one of the most prosecuted charges in the
US -- although there are a number of people who think that the crime of
conspiracy disappears when it actually makes sense....  didn't Pound also
say, *don't be an idiot*?
