Since when didn't Morrison have a chance?! :-) I wasn't behind Yeats as Jon was, but I thought the Blue team outplayed the White for much of the game ... and Yeats was as much a victim of that as a participant. Morrison was named first star, but I thought that a stretch. Morrison had many saves (maybe 19?) and allowed no goals, but his defense played well in front of him and he was more than a little lucky on a couple of instances. What I *really* liked about Morrison was his new-found aggressiveness. IMHO, that's what disappeared during last season. He still needs work playing the puck, but I, too, think he's back! Then, I'm ignorant ... I'd love to know what the coaches think :-) On another note, many of us fans may have a new favorite player. I do! We've got a smurph and his name is Don Richardson ... and he can play! Well, he can play once the Fall semester ends ... only then will the Vermont transfer be eligible. I'm biased, but I thought the "other" Morrison played pretty well. Doug, from Stearns High School, may be a long-shot for the team but I thought he played promisingly well. All-in-all, it was a good show, with many of the new-comers showing flashes. But with the exception of a couple of returning defensemen that looked stronger, more than once I wondered who among the returning veterans would step it up this season? And finally, I don't recall Walsh ever carrying 4 goalies. Who will be cut? If everyone practices hard, it will be a tough choice. cheers, wayne Wayne T.
