Yesterday's Boston Globe includes an article

saying he has opted into next months NHL draft rather than awaiting next
year's draft.
 
Can anyone confirm that this "opt-in" will cause him to lose eligibility?
 
Of course, with the million+ deal and possibly $12M over 3 years, it's
not a real tough decision!
 
He was obviously a superior college hockey player this past season, and
I very much enjoyed seeing him play.  This is a *major* loss for BUs
hopes for next season, should this come to pass.
