I'd rather see them go the other way and have no TV timeouts during the game at all (given that non-televised games only allow each team one one-minute timeout per *game*), but unfortunately the inviolacy of the game didn't have a chance to get built up and trump advertising concerns in hockey the way it did in soccer.
