Jonathan Morse asked about Pound's announcement that the Christian era was over. That announcement is well known, but for the life of me I can't recall--or locate--the specific place or time. My fuzzy old brain thinks it was published in the LITTLE REVIEW, but earlier than 1922. In any event Pound published a calendar based on his own birth date aided by some astrological calculations to produce a post-Christian calendar. I have some information on it buried somewhere, but can't put my finger on it. Perhaps with this spur someone else will recall the specifics. I imagine it must be mentioned in Forrest REad's strange book, whose title I also can't recall at the moment. Leon Surette English Dept. University of Western Ontario London, Ont. N6A 3K7
