 * UMA registration for fall courses for degree candidates opens Monday,
March 31st. For those of you who took advantage of the "early, early
process", you are already in your classes! You may either hand in a
form to the front desk or try self-service registration through the new
Maine Street portal on our student computers' desktops. If you are
non-degree, you'll need to wait until April 7th. If you are interested
in a course (online, VC, or ITV) in Rockland originating from another
campus, that will require a multi-campus registration form and attention
to different dates. Ask lots of questions!

* We will hold Student Info/Practice Sessions of the new Maine Street
System in the computer lab on Tuesday, April 1st at 1:00PM and on
Wednesday, April 2nd at 4:00PM. Maine Street has good self-service
options allowing you to be more self-sufficient about course selection
and registration procedures (at all 7 UMS campuses). Please spend a few
minutes with us to see how it works.

* Midcoast Magnet, a local economic development group, wants to attract
and connect college interns with the greater business community and
expose them to the wonderful cultural and recreational assets in
midcoast Maine this summer. MidCoast Magnet is looking for interns. For
more information on this unique opportunity for this summer, contact
Skip Bates at Bangor Savings Bank at [log in to unmask]

* Lunch Time Yoga with Garrett Vail will be held starting Wednesday,
April 2 from 12:00 - 1:00PM and continue through Wednesday, May 7th.
All skill levels welcome and the sessions are free. Space is limited to
7 participants so leave your name at the office. You may attend a few
sessions or all.

* URock flash drives are back! They are on sale at the front office
for just $5.

* There are still a few seats open for the Boston trip on Friday, April
11th. It's just $10 for students and $40 for a guest. The bus leaves
Augusta at 7:00AM. See Bev for sign-up.
