PLEASE BE AWARE that starting in the upcoming Fall 2014 semester, students are required to have health insurance if they fall into the following categories: (1) 9 or more credits; (2) in several specific majors, including Vet Tech, Nursing, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, and Aviation; and/or (3) are an International student on an F-1 visa.

The STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY (SHIP) has a $942 premium, which will automatically be billed on your student account. If you already have health insurance coverage that is in compliance with the Affordable Health Care Act and do not wish to participate in the SHIP, you can withdraw from the coverage and charge by an on-line waiver process starting July 7, 2014. THE DEADLINE FOR WAIVING the SHIP is OCTOBER 1, 2014.

If you already have health insurance and do not wish to participate in the SHIP, you can withdraw from this coverage by going to: http://www2.crossagency.com/2014-2015/uma.php and completing and submitting the WAIVER. Click on the link located on the left side of the page.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 667-3897.
