Announcement: Nominations Now Open for Student Association at the
Ellsworth Center

The purpose of the Hancock County Higher Education Center, Student
Association (SA) is to: enhance student life at the center and to
provide opportunities for student leadership, assure an appropriate
balance of activities for all fee-paying students, provide a forum for
discussion of local college policy issues affecting the quality of the
students' educational experience.  

Students interested in running for the positions of President, Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary, or Student Body Representative, must
submit nomination papers complete with 15 signatures provided by
students registered for at least 3 credit hours through the center or
its receive sites.. 

Nomination papers must be returned to the Hancock County Higher
Education Center by 5:00PM on Friday, September 12, 2008.

Nomination papers are available at the Hancock Center Higher Education
Center, ITV receive sites at Sumner High School, MDI High School,
Bucksport Adult Education, Deer Isle/Stonington High School or may be
downloaded from the Center's website: www.learn.maine.edu/ellsworth 

Election, by ballot, will be held Monday, September 22 - Saturday,
September 27, 2008.
