You're in the final stretch... the semester will soon be over! Hang in there.

Some things for you to be aware of or take care of if you haven't already.

1. Register now! Support your local instructors... taking an on-site course. For those of you who take online courses please be aware classes are filling up. Check the course listing: www.learn.maine.edu/ellsworth

2. "SKI PANTS FOR KIDS" The HUS 352 class and the Student Association are collecting ski pants for children (approximate sizes for K-8 graders). Please help us keep our local children warm this winter. A donation box will be in the lobby of the Higher Education Center through December 7th.

3. Save the Date: Friday December 11th you are invited to the annual Student Association Holiday Party. Bring you family! Dinner and good conversation for relaxation well deserved before final exam week.

4.The Student Association is raising funds to support the Jacob Brewer Home. Jake VanMeter is a UMA student at the Hancock Higher Education Center. Jake has cerebral palsy, he lives at the Coutland Rehab. Center and he is 25 years old. The Jacob Brewer Home is a "dream about to happen" for Jake and other young people like him who deserve to live independently with their peers. Please support our fund raising efforts: buy as many cookies and cakes as you can eat or share! Thanks.

5. If you are interested in working on the Student Association please contact Ann Delaney [log in to unmask]

6. Bookstore Buy-Back: EMCC students sell your books at the EMCC bookstore Dec 10, 11,14, and 18, 9am - 1pm

And last but certainly not least, have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving break. Happy Holiday.
