For many years UMS has maintain a modem pool in partnership with
Foxcroft Academy to service the Dover-Foxcroft area.  For various
reasons the Academy has decided to pull out of this partnership.
However, they have generously agreed to phase out the modems over the
next few months.  Doing so will allow us maintain a local dialup number
in the Dover-Foxcroft area trough the end of the semester.  The
phase-out will happen in two steps.

March 1st - Modem pool will be decreased form 8 modems to 4 modems.  At
this time the modem pool will be restricted to UMS accounts.

June 1st - The rest of the modem pool will be shutdown.
