There was an unplanned partial network outage this morning, primarily
affecting Orono and services housed there or reliant on connectivity
through there, causing various service problems sporadically between
approximately 6:30a and 7:15a.  The cause was identified to be a failed
optical module, which was replaced, correcting the problem.  All known
issues have been resolved since that time.
