What is happening?

Final network uplink connections will be made for new Cisco UCS compute
hardware located in the Orono data center.  This involves
physically completing the UCS fabric interconnect uplink connections to the
Orono data center Nexus fabric.  No impact is expected.


When? / How long will it take?

The physical connections will be made at approximately 7:00 AM on 1/4/24
and should only take several minutes to complete, afterwhich connectivity
will be verified.


What IT Services are affected by this maintenance?

No services are expected to be impacted by this maintenance.


Why is this work necessary?


These fabric uplink connections are the final step in the setup for the new
Cisco UCS compute hardware and will provide connectivity for virtual
workloads.


What happens if the work is not successful?


If there are any complications the physical connections will be immediately
disabled and/or disconnected.
