   - *Q: Who should apply?*
      - A: The NELLS 2022 program is designed for emerging leaders as an
      introduction to library leadership.  It is most appropriate for early to
      mid-career library workers who have demonstrated potential to become
      leaders in the field, or who aspire to hold leadership positions.  A
      Master’s degree in Library Science is not required in order to
   - *Q: What kind of time commitment should I expect?*
      - A: This hybrid program will consist of ten weekly virtual sessions
      and a weekend in person at our conference hotel in Manchester
NH.  The work
      for NELLS is, by and large, done at  the weekly meetings.  There will be
      some recommended readings and supplemental discussion boards set up for
      participants to continue discussions in between meetings.
   - *Q: Is there an outline of the curriculum?*

   - *Q: Who is facilitating the program?*
      - The course will be facilitated by Tom Southard, an experienced
      organizational development consultant. His passion is in helping
leaders to
      thrive in their careers, navigate change in a healthy way, build healthy
      organizations, and lead diverse teams. He has experience in higher
      education, student development, and nonprofit leadership and management.
      Tom is completing his PhD in organizational development. He also
holds a JD
      from Villanova University, an MA in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana
      University, and an MPA and BA from the University of Baltimore.
There will
      also be several members of the NELA board and the NELLS
committee involved
      in order to provide practical perspectives and applications of the
      curriculum to the library world.
   - *Q: What platform is being used?*
      - A: We are planning on using Google Class to facilitate discussions
      between weekly meetings and to offer supplemental readings related to the
   - *Q: What is the program cost?*
      - A: The total cost is $350.  This includes both the virtual and
      in-person components, including hotel and food for the in person
      of the course.
