The Gray Public Library, located in the charming and growing town of Gray, Maine, is seeking applicants for the regular, full-time (40-hours per week) position of Head of Circulation.

The position oversees all aspects of the circulation of materials at the Gray Public Library, including supervision of Circulation Assistants, ensuring that users and visitors to the Gray Public Library have a welcoming, high-quality, and fulfilling experience, performing and supervising regular tasks, engaging in collection development collection maintenance, and will strive to make the Gray Public Library an important and relevant voice in Gray, and in the larger Maine library community.

The ideal applicant will have previous work in a library setting, is familiar with III products (namely Sierra), has a demonstrated track record of management and leadership, and has a passion for the transformative power of a public library.

With the Town's emphasis on the revitalization of the Village Center in its current Comprehensive Plan, the Library is poised to become a central hub of the community.

The position starts July 1, 2022, and is dependent upon FY23 Town budget being approved by Gray voters.

For more information about the position and application instructions, please visit https://www.graymaine.org/employment. Review of applications will begin on June 4, 2022.
