Hello all-

As part of the work we are doing with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, we are participating in a STEM video showcase all this week through May 17. What does that mean? It means that if you have 10 minutes here and there you should check out the hundreds of (short) videos that talk about different STEM projects happening across the country and around the world that are aimed at improving STEM learning opportunities for youth and adults. All the projects are federally funded. The focus this year is on broadening participation and increasing access and equity in STEM learning- something libraries know all about!

Not only can you watch the videos but you can join in the conversation and post questions/comments on different video pages you view. If your libraries does STEM programming, you should definitely think about posting your experience(s) on our project video page. We want to highlight the good work happening in ME's libraries. The GMRI video focuses on how and why educators (including library staff) are building "Learning Ecosystems." If you're curious what that means check it out. For those of you who are already part of a Learning Ecosystem, share your experience! Here's the direct link to the GMRI video

Help raise the profile of libraries and take a look and leave a comment.

Many thanks,

(ps if you want to learn how you can join a Learning Ecosystem, contact me, Kara, or Chris)
