The Library Development Team at the Maine State Library would like to congratulate the 68 individuals who completed the MARVELous Maine Invitational in December.

The Maine State Library sponsored the MARVELous Maine Invitational, a MARVEL online learning opportunity. The Invitational began on September 30th and ran through December 15th. Each week, we explored a different MARVEL resource. Participants set up their own blogs and recorded what they discovered. All the blogs are accessible for those who would like to get a sense of what this experience was like for the participants. To view the blogs please visit http://www.maine.gov/msl/mrls/coned/index.shtml <http://www.maine.gov/msl/mrls/coned/index.shtml> .

New lessons were posted each Sunday evening during the Invitational. Participants were encouraged to spend about 15 minutes each day during that week exploring the targeted resource. All participants who successfully completed the Invitational will receive 9 hours of Continuing Education Credit and their name was entered into a drawing for a free iPad. Successful completion was measured by the quality of blog entries and the completion of the pre- and post-tests.

We are pleased to announce that Judith Lashman from Leavitt Area High School is the winner of the iPad. Congratulation to Judith and to all who completed this online learning experience.

Thank you for your participation.
