Hi All, Region 1 libraries in York and Cumberland Counties got together virtually Friday to discuss issues of climate change, environmental stewardship, and how libraries can reduce their carbon footprint. I am happy to share the session with other Maine libraries. Here's how:

  1. Watch Curtis ML (Brunswick) Adult Services Librarian Hazel Onsrud's climate context video at . She includes in the comments section a spreadsheet of climate-related programs Curtis ML has offered. Curtis ML is working hard to make "every program a climate program and every library job a climate job." The library recently won an ALA Resilient Communities Grant to help with their efforts.

  1. Watch the roundtable discussion (1 hr. 16 min.) at , the passcode is $3kiFbg4 . Great info on activities, partners, products, and programming around environmental stewardship.

  1. Check out the Resource List to learn more at .

**** Surprise congratulations to attendees Elise Miller at Acton PL, Mary-Lou Boucouvalas at Graves ML in Kennebunkport, and Laura Cashell at Hurd Library in North Berwick. They won the secret door prizes of a 4-roll pack of Cheeky Panda eco-friendly toilet paper for their libraries.

Regards, Deb
